| SERVICES Our large format printers Durst Lambda 130 We print the industry’s highest resolution graphics using the durst lambda direct-digital photographic printer. This is the proven world-leader in true photo-quality. Front-lit and back-lit prints are available up to 49” wide by almost unlimited length. Prints can be created directly from digital files maintaining superb rendition of resolution, contrast range and image brilliance! A Lambda print can go directly to the mounting stage, without the usual 24 hour drying time that water-based inkjet prints need. Among the applications for this quality of printing, are museum and trade show graphics, high-end storefront and point-of-purchase displays that need the very best of color reproduction ie. skin tones, detail in food shots, to name a few. This high-speed method of printing also offers an affordable alternative to offset printing when runs of 2 to 500 are needed, as there is no need for plates, films, and special set-ups. Hewlett Packard 5500 The 2nd in line for printing high-quality large format graphics is our Hewlett Packard 5500 6-color 1200 dpi water-based inkjet printer. The 5500 is a very reliable machine capable of printing near photo-realistic imagery, with razor-sharp text. Digital files are printed directly onto a variety of materials ranging from paper and films, to fabrics and vinyls. Printing widths are up to 59”. The machine also supports 2 types of inks: dye base inks for a wider color gamut, and pigmented inks for long-lasting fade resistant printing which is good for up to 1 year outdoors. The 5500 creates the industry’s highest quality graphics on vinyl and fabric material, and is 2nd only to the lambda for printing on paper and backlit films. This method offers a more affordable alternative to the photographic process when printing on paper and films, due to lower printer and media costs. Vutek 2360 Our Vutek 2360 has twice the apparent resolution of traditional 4-color ultra wide printers. We can print directly up to 78” wide media, using permanent solvent inks that are guaranteed outdoor fade-resistant for 2 years. No transfer steps to contend with, and no overlaminates as the solvent inks bond into the material being printed on. The 2360 prints directly onto paper, fabric, vinyl, and pressure-sensitive materials. Printing speeds are approx. 4 times faster than water-based inkjet printing. The 2360 is designed primarily for production runs rather than one-off fine art printing. This process is ideal for billboards, oversize quantity fabric and vinyl jobs, bus wraps and fleet graphics, outdoor banners, poster runs, and wallpaper. This method has the lowest cost of graphic printing, because of the following: Solvent inks have a lower price point than water-based inks. The media does not need special coatings to help the ink stick to the material. Overlaminates are not needed to protect the ink from getting smudged. No uv protectants are needed. Finally, the printing speed allows more output to be generated per work day.
